Publishers Foreword
“And do not quarrel for then you will be weak in hearts and your
power will depart…”
(Surah Anfâl 8:46)
“And hold fast by the covenant of Allah all together and be not
disunited…”
(Surah Aale Imrân 3:103)
Imam Sâdiq (a.s.) said:
We are the Rope of Allâh (Hablullâh), about whom Allâh said, “And hold fast
by the covenant of Allah all together and be not disunited…”
The above-mentioned verses of the Holy Qurân and the traditions of
Ahle-Bayt (a.s.) emphasise upon the importance of unity. Wisdom also
dictates the same. However true unity among the Muslim Ummah can
only be achieved through a common belief in divine leadership.
That is why in the School of Imamat, the topic of divine leadership is
more emphasized than any other subject. Under the guidance of their infallible Imams (a.s.), the scholars of this school have expounded this belief more and propagated it.
Although, every just person would accept the facts, those desirous of
finding the truth will find this book, “Analysis of the History of Aale
Muhammad”, by Agha Bohlool Bahjat Âfandi most effective.
This is not the only outstanding feature of the book. Though brief, it
contains all references and is comprehensive, containing logical as well
as documentary proofs.
As per the saying of Imam Ali (a.s.), “The best saying is that which is
comprehensive yet short.”
No matter how little, but the publication of a book like this is instrumental in spreading the truth and it has a definite effect upon those who
seek it. It is hoped that it would attract the kind attention of people of
truth. Peace be upon them all.

HEAVILY SUBSIDIZED BY WWW.WABIL.COMThis text explains in detail the meaning of Worship and Intention, as well as how different stages of worship are acquired. He then goes on to explain the different actions of Prayer in detail, such as the first Takbir, & the recitation of the Suras Heavily subsidized by www.islamicthought.co.ukThis text presents an analysis of polytheism with respect to God and idols, using the Holy Quran as reference. It also studies idolatry with respect to resurrection and refutes that concept logically while explaining the essence of monotheism. HEAVILY SUBSIDIZED BY WWW.ISLAMICTHOUGHT.CO.UKThis is the translation of sections from Martyr Mutahhari's book Sayri dar Nahj al-balaghah. This book consists of seven sections. In the first section the author discusses the two main characteristics of the Nahj al-balaghah; its literary excellence and its multidimensionality, quoted various opinions expressed about Imam Ali's eloquence in general and about the Nahj al-balaghah in particular. In the second section, the author discusses the theological and metaphysical ideas propounded in the Nahj al-balaghah and compared them with the parallel notions familiar to the Muslim mutakallimun and philosophers. The third section deals with ibadah (worship) and its various levels. The fourth section deals with Islamic Government and Social Justice. The fifth, dealing with the controversial issue of caliphate (khilafah) and the superior status of the Ahl al-Bayt (A), has been deleted in this translation. The sixth and the seventh sections discuss the Nahj al-balaghah's ethical teachings, in particular the Islamic Concept of zuhd (abstinence); the meaning of the world (dunya), so often condemned in the Nahj al-balaghah; and the meaning of the contradiction between the world and the hereafter, which is also recurring theme. HEAVILY SUBSIDIZED BY WWW.ISLAMICTHOUGHT.CO.UKDiscovering Shi’i Islam is a brief introduction to main issues related to Islam in general and Shi’i Islam in particular. Though simply and clearly written, it is an outcome of more than twenty years of involvement in Islamic studies. The text studies the origins of Shi’i Islam and its sources, i.e. the Qur.an, the Sunnah, the reason and consensus. It also studies fundamental doctrines and main practices of Islam. It ends with a brief account of the latest statistics about the present Muslim population of the world along with a breakdown of religious affiliations of some countries with a long history of Shi’i presence therein. Discovering Shi’i Islam represents a sincere commitment to Islamic unity and is hoped to serve as a modest step towards Muslim brotherhood. Indeed, this book echoes the Qur’anic call for unity which extends to all people of faith to unify their efforts and concentrate on their common ground. HEAVILY SUBSIDIZED BY WWW.ISLAMICTHOUGHT.CO.UKSince 9/11, "Islam" has become a buzzword, conjuring fiery images of fundamentalists and fanatics on a mission to bring down Western culture. This sensible book is a welcome reminder that Islam is a much more complex belief system -- one that in fact reflects and teaches progressive, humane values. Jafri covers progressive concepts of Islam, sectarian violence in the Islamic world, international terrorism and peace, the concept of social justice, freedom and rationalism in Islam, the status of women and human rights, and more.
